Q: What is LOTTO MAX UP CLOSE?

LOTTO MAX is offering customers, concert-goers, sports enthusiasts and patrons of awesomeness a chance to win tickets and connect up close with their greatest passions. To participate in LOTTO MAX UP CLOSE contests, participants must create a Winner's Edge account and accept the Rules and Regulations of each contest as they become available. Participants are welcome to enter as many contests as they like.​

Q: Do I have to purchase a LOTTO MAX ticket to participate in LOTTO MAX UP CLOSE?

No, no ticket purchase is required. LOTTO MAX UP CLOSE is open to any resident of Ontario eighteen (18) years of age or older with a Winner’s Edge account.

Q: Why should I sign up for an account?

You can’t get access to LOTTO MAX UP CLOSE unless you get a Winner’s Edge account. You see, in order to make sure the right prize is awarded to the right person, participants have to register for an account and create a profile. In signing up, you’ll gain access to the LOTTO MAX UP CLOSE program and have the option of staying informed on all of the Winner’s Edge program information which allows you to receive news on the latest OLG contests, exclusive ecoupons, winning number emails, jackpot alerts, OLG newsletters and loads of other fun stuff customized to the way you play. Signing up only takes a couple minutes, and it’s easy to change your account preferences or unsubscribe at any time.

Q: When I sign up for any of these services, how will I know my sign-up is complete?

Once you complete the sign-up process, a confirmation email will be sent to your email address (the same email address which you used when signing up for the service). This email will contain a link that you use to activate your account. This type of a "double opt-in" process is used to protect customers against false activations, for example where one person subscribes on another person's behalf or without that person's permission or knowledge.

Q: How can I change which emails I receive?

Log in and visit your Account page, then scroll down to Email Preferences and click the “Update Email Preferences” button to review your account preferences. Then scroll to your email settings to make your desired changes, click “Change Email Preferences” and your selections will be updated instantly.

Q: What if I no longer wish to receive a specific email?

You can opt out of our email program at any time by either using the unsubscribe link contained in any OLG email sent to you or by logging in to your account and updating your email preferences.

Q: What type of information can I expect to see in my LOTTO MAX UP CLOSE emails?

We’re always looking for new ways to blow your mind with LOTTO MAX UP CLOSE. So we’ll be adding new music, sports and entertainment experiences all the time as they become available. Our email program is one of the best ways we have to keep you in the loop, and make sure you keep selecting draws for your chance to win.

Q: How long do you keep my information on file?

Your information will be kept, and your account maintained as an active account, as long as you are participating in one or more email services (for example participating in email subscriber-exclusive contests), contests, coupons or other services associated with your Winner’s Edge account. We will also continue to keep your information as long as you are still reading our email messages and if we do not receive frequent bounce-backs from your email address.

If you are not subscribed to or participating in a service, and your email account has not been active for a period of two years from the date of last activity or original registration, whichever comes later, we will remove your records from our mailing list and we will no longer email to that email account, unless you re-subscribe to our email services.

Signing Up and Logging In

Q: If I already have a Winner’s Edge account, do I need to create a separate account just for LOTTO MAX UP CLOSE?

No. If you’ve signed up for Winner’s Edge you’re good to go. Your Winner’s Edge account is your exclusive online passport to a variety of OLG digital universes including LOTTO MAX UP CLOSE, the Winner’s Edge program and more. Simply log in with your email and Winner’s Edge password to enter draws at any time. This account will continue to provide you access to all future OLG lottery contests.

Q: Why am I getting the error message "Email address is already in use" when I try to sign up for an account?

The email you’re using to sign up must already be associated with a Winner’s Edge account. Are you already receiving Winner’s Edge emails? Or maybe you’ve participated in an OLG Lottery contest in the past, or signed up to receive ecoupons? Then you already have an account! Simply log in with that account email and password and you’re ready to go Up Close.

However, if you receive this message and you have not already signed up for a Winner’s Edge account , it is possible that someone else has signed up using that email address. An email address cannot be used by more than one person. If you believe this message is incorrect or require additional assistance, contact the OLG Support Centre at 1-800-387-0098.

Q: Why can't I log in? The site is not recognizing my information.

You may have entered your email address or password incorrectly. Check that you haven't made any typos and that Caps Lock is off. Also make sure you haven't entered any spaces. If you continue to have an issue, go to the Forgot Login page.

Q: What if I forgot my password?

If you've already signed up for LOTTO MAX UP CLOSE or have a Winner’s Edge account and have forgotten your password, go to the Forgot Login page.

Q: I no longer have access to the email address that I signed up with. What should I do?

If you have forgotten or no longer have access to the email address that you signed up with, contact the OLG Support Centre at 1-800-387-0098 for assistance.

Your Account

Q: How do I change the email address in my profile?

To change your email address, you must log in with your Winner’s Edge account to update your profile.

Q: How do I change my phone number, address or other information I signed up with?

To change any of your personal information, simply log in with your Winner’s Edge account and update your profile.

Q: Why do I have to enter my date of birth when registering for an account?

OLG has firm policies and procedures to protect against minors participating in any lottery game or contest or engaging with our websites. Members must provide their date of birth in order to confirm that they are at least 18 years of age.

Q: What does OLG do with my personal information?

Protecting the privacy and confidentiality of personal information is important to us. The collection, use and disclosure of personal information by OLG is governed by The Province of Ontario's Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Q: Is this account the same as my PlayOLG account?

No. If you have registered for PlayOLG, you will also need a Winner’s Edge account to participate in LOTTO MAX UP CLOSE promotions, receive promotion updates, plus Winner’s Edge benefits like Jackpot alerts and winning numbers details.

Budweiser Stage Contest

Q: What is the Budweiser Stage contest?

LOTTO MAX is offering customers a unique LOTTO MAX UP CLOSE experience that money can't buy. You could win Budweiser Stage VIP seats for you and 3 friends for any of the concerts that are selected. Please see the contest rules for details.

Q: Who can participate in the Budweiser Stage contest?

Anyone who’s a resident of Ontario 18 years of age or older with a valid Winner’s Edge Account. That is, anyone except the employees (and their immediate families and those with whom they are domiciled) of Splashdot, The T1 Agency, Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, Live Nation, Budweiser Stage, OLG, OLG’s authorized retailers (including sole proprietorships and corporation partnerships), the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, and each of their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, governors, agents, their advertising and promotional agencies. Immediate family includes the husband, wife, son, daughter, brother, sister, mother, or father of an individual.

Q: How many concerts can I enter to win?

You can enter as many active concerts as you like, each concert you select gives you 1 (one) entry into that concert draw.

Q: Can I win more than one prize?

No, entrants are limited to winning one Budweiser Stage prize.

Q: How will the draws be conducted?

Two (2) prize winners will be selected by a random electronic draw from all eligible entries received for each concert. In addition, should any primary entrant not be eligible or reachable in the allocated time, a back up entrant(s) will be drawn until the prize is awarded.

All draws will be conducted by T1 Agency, acting on behalf of OLG.

Q: When will winners be contacted?

Potential winners will be notified within 24 hours following the date of the draw. Attempts will be made to contact potential winners at the telephone number/email address listed in their Winner’s Edge Account. Eligible winners will have twenty-four (24) hours to claim their prize. After twenty-four (24) hours, a new winner will be selected if the first eligible winner is unresponsive.

Q: If I am a winner, how will I receive the prize?

Winners will be contacted by the contest organizer. The winner will receive their four (4) Budweiser Stage Prize tickets by Ticketmaster email transfer for their respective event date. Winners are required to provide valid driver’s licenses or photo IDs that showcases residency and age in order to claim tickets.

Q: Is there a cash prize option instead of the tickets?

LOTTO MAX UP CLOSE is all about providing memorable experiences that money can’t buy. So each prize must be accepted as awarded and no prize substitutions of cash or otherwise, or transfer of the prize will be made.

LOTTO MAX UP CLOSE Marquee Concert

Q: What is the LOTTO MAX UP CLOSE Marquee Concert?

OLG is bringing a unique, intimate concert event to Toronto with the LOTTO MAX UP CLOSE MARQUEE CONCERT. On October 2, 2019 at The Mod Club, Grammy Award Winner Alessia Cara will play an exclusive show for a limited audience who have won the opportunity to attend by winning a contest. Please see the contest rules for details.

Q: How do I enter for a chance to win tickets to the LOTTO MAX UP CLOSE Marquee Concert?

You can enter for a chance to win a pair of tickets to the MARQUEE CONCERT at www.lottomaxupclose.ca or www.lottomaxupclose.com. Fill out and submit the entry form for your chance to win. Please see the contest rules for details.

Q: How long is the contest period?

The contest period is August 7, 2019 to September 18, 2019. All entries must be submitted by 11:59:59 p.m. ET on September 18, 2019 to qualify.

Q: Who can participate in the LOTTO MAX UP CLOSE contest?

No. If OLG lottery products are sold (by anyone) at your work location, you are not eligible to enter the contest.

Q: Is there a limit to the number of entries I can enter for the contest?

Yes. There is a limit of one entry per person for this contest.

Q: When is the cut-off time to submit entries to the contest?

All entries must be received by 11:59:59 p.m. ET on September 18, 2019.

Q: I am having a problem entering the website, who do I speak with?

Q: I’m having trouble signing up for this contest. Why can't OLG just sign me up? I'm giving you my permission.

In order to maintain the integrity of the OLG contest/promotion, we are not able to physically enter a consumer’s information or submit an entry on their behalf. OLG has no way of verifying the authenticity of the information provided or ensuring that the information entered is correct. You should be the only one submitting your personal information for a contest/promotion entry. If you are experiencing difficulties entering your information online, we suggest that you seek the assistance of a family member or friend.

Q: How and when will the Marquee Prize and VIP Prize draws be conducted?

Winners will be selected by a random draw, conducted electronically on or after September 19, 2019. The ten (10) VIP Prizes will be drawn first, then the one hundred and ninety (190) Marquee Prizes. Chances of winning a Marquee or VIP Prize depends on the number of eligible entries received in the Contest Period by the Contest Closing Date.

Q: What’s the difference between the Marquee Prize and VIP Prize?

Both the Marquee Prize and VIP Prize include a pair of tickets to the MARQUEE CONCERT on October 2, 2019 at The Mod Club in Toronto. The VIP Prize also includes additional exclusive experiences on the night of the event, such as a Meet & Greet with Alessia Cara.

Q: Is there a skill-testing question?

Yes. Winners must correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question correctly and complete a waiver before having their prize awarded.

Q: How will I know if I am a winner?

Attempts will be made to contact each potential winner of a Marquee Prize and VIP Prize at the telephone number and/or email address provided with his/her registration information between September 19, 2019 and October 2, 2019. The potential winners must return any message left by the Contest Administrator within the timeframe stipulated in the message to remain eligible to receive the Prize. Prize claiming details will be provided at the time of contact.

If, the potential winner fails to respond to the notification within the timeframe stipulated in the message or is otherwise ineligible to receive the prize, his/her entry will be disqualified and he/she will not win the respective prize and the back-up entries will be contacted, and the process will continue until such time as the winner is declared or until there are no remaining entries to select from.

If no winner is declared for any prize, that prize will not be awarded.

Q: Is there a limit to the number of prizes I can win?

Yes. There is a limit of one Prize per entrant (Marquee or VIP).

Q: Is there an age requirement for the guest I bring?

Yes. All Winners’ guests must be 18 years of age or older. The Contest Organizer reserves the right to request proof from the Marquee Prize or VIP Prize winner and guest of their respective identity, age and residency, as applicable.

Q: How will I receive my prize?

Marquee Prize and VIP Prize Winners will be contacted by the contest organizer, at the email address and/or phone number provided with their registration information. Winners will be required to provide a valid driver’s license or photo ID upon arriving at The Mod Club on Oct 2, 2019 that showcases residency and age in order to claim tickets.

Q: Does my prize include spending money or travel expenses?

No. The Marquee Prize and VIP Prize do not include any incidental costs or expenses related to attending this event that are not specifically identified in the contest rules.

Q: Can I give my tickets away if I’m unable to attend the concert?

No. Prizes in this contest are not transferrable. Your Prize is specifically for you and your guest to attend.
